Visions of Peace is a multi-faceted Tufts Hillel initiative created to actively educate and engage Tufts students in promoting the peaceful co-existence and understanding of Israelis and Palestinians.  There are two key components within the initiative:

  •       An interfaith student fellowship culminating in a trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories in which 25-30 Tufts students meet with Israelis and Palestinians who are working to promote peace and learn about the region firsthand.
  •       A three-credit course in the Tufts Ex-College in which approximately 20 Tufts students of varying backgrounds and ethnicities learn about different perspectives of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, ongoing grassroots peace efforts, and building a shared society.

To reach a larger student audience, additional programs and activities are offered throughout the year including lectures and lunch and learns.

There are many ways you can take an active role in cultivating peace, coexistence, and understanding. Our on-going initiatives include:

Building Bridges Collaborative

Building Bridges connects students with organizations that bring Israelis and Palestinians together to further peace. Learn about and get involved with a range of joint activities in business, medicine, the environment, technology, education, and the arts as well as cultural exchange and dialogue. Plan creative programs, speaker events, fundraisers, film screenings and more to support the work of these important groups.

Tufts Students for Two States

Tufts Students for Two States is a broad coalition of pro-Israel, pro-peace groups at Tufts University. The coalition believes that peace will be achieved through a two-state solution, and that this represents the best future for both Israelis and Palestinians.
