Challah for Chesed

Challah for Chesed is a student group that bakes and sells challah, donating all proceeds to the food bank Family Table.

In the Fall 2026 semester, our bakes are on September 17th, October 1st, October 15th, October 29th, November 12th, and December 3rd. Join us in the Tufts Hillel kitchen for dough-making (3-4pm), braiding (5-6pm), baking (7-8pm), and selling (8-9pm).

Loaves of challah are available for sale for $5. Buy challah on our online store before 3pm on the day of the bake, and it will be ready for pick-up at 8pm at Tufts Hillel. If you can't pick up your order by 9pm, it will be put behind the front desk of Tufts Hillel for you to pick up at your convenience.
